I hope you are having a nice Monday, the sun is out here and its fairly warm which is nice. Here are a few photos of the stuff I’ve been creating as part of my new installation, I don’t want to give too much away yet 🙂
Also here is a photo of my 10kg bag of polyester teddy stuffing that arrived a couple of weeks ago – its as tall as the door! It also blocked out all the light making the photo very dark, sorry about that.
I do apologise for the lack of posts on this blog. The good news is that I’m currently working away on some art so you can expect posts to be more frequent for a while. The 20-21 Open Art & Sculpture Exhibition that I usually enter around September time is taking place much earlier this year in mid July. I only found out about this maybe 2 weeks ago at the most so I’m in panic mode at the moment to get it finished in time to submit. I’m intending doing a mini installation for this years entry, whether it will get picked or not who knows but it’s worth a try. If not then I can always try entering it other places or seeing if I can show it at a local gallery or something. Anyway, do you remember the blue monster I posted before? Well now he has a friend! In fact he actually has 2 but I haven’t uploaded those photos yet, also they aren’t quite finished – I ran out of stuffing. Hope you like them!
Firstly I would like to apologise for the lack of updates and work on here lately. Unfortunately this year isn’t going very well so far in regards to art. I have been making things but they are all more craft based and have been for various events that I’ve been going to. I will not be taking part in the insight open studios event this year either sadly as I just don’t have the time to produce lots of new artworks for it. I will hopefully be doing the Christmas market again at the Ropewalk in Barton and will be applying to the 20-21 Visual Arts Centre open exhibition.
As I don’t have any actual new art to show you I will instead share some of my latest craft projects just so I can at least show you something as purely text based posts are a bit boring especially on an art blog. Hope you are all doing well and hopefully I will soon be able to post actual art images again as I will be kicking in to action on a few projects soon.
Stay tuned for more!
So it’s about half way through January now and is very snowy out. Looks so pretty! This is my 1st post of the New Year, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year celebrations! Currently I’m still doing planning and deciding about how best to get going with my art this year – I’d like to attempt a large installation piece soon but I’m not sure how yet. I also have plans for some more accessories and plushie monsters. Maybe a bit of a comic collaboration, but its still very early on that so I can’t really say anymore on that yet. I haven’t got going with much yet to show you but I can share my commission piece that was the very last piece of work I completed last year. I hope you like him ^_^
Hello everyone, it’s so very cold today I hope you are all managing to keep warm.
I have eventually opened my etsy shop and it’s just in time for Christmas. Plus it means you can shop from the comfort and warmth of your own home. There’s only a small number of items in there so far but I will be adding a couple more Christmas themed items tomorrow. If you would like an item to arrive in time for Christmas I suggest you buy it soon as Royal Mail is always very busy during the Christmas period and things can get delayed. I will also add a couple of my smaller monsters for sale as they would make a good and more unusual present for people.
Be sure to check it out!

Had a fairly successful two days selling at the Ropewalk Christmas art market. I still have a few items left for sale though that are perfect for Christmas as unusual gifts or stocking fillers. All items that are currently for sale can be found on my facebook page in the album marked ‘Christmas’. If you would like to buy anything just get in touch.
